As many of you know there has been a lot of recent developments in terms of the short term future of youth sports. With the commonwealth of PA coming out with the recommendation that youth sports should be postponed until at least January 1, 2021 and then EPYSA following up with their statement to continue to sanction youth soccer for the 2020-2021 season. The QSC Executive Board has met and decided to move forward with all soccer activities for the 2020-2021 season, this includes travel, academy and intramural. QSC has always been a community based soccer club to offer children the opportunity to learn, develop and showcase not just physical skills on the field but also the mental aspect and camaraderie of what it takes to be part of a team. We believe that offering these options has a significant positive influence on our children that is much needed especially during the current situation with COVID-19. QSC has been and will continue to take a cautious approach through the reopening phase. By doing this we have been able to observe other organizations to see what is working, what is not working and what will need adjustments moving forward to provide a safe environment for our players, coaches and other volunteers. Even while providing a cautious approach to reopening the goal is to be ready to go for the start of the fall travel leagues, academy training and intramural season. While we understand not everyone will agree with our position (in terms of either continuing to move forward or moving forward too cautiously) we wanted to provide some insight into our decision.
